Advanced bookings are highly advised to guarantee your spot.
We do take walk ups who show up at the departure locations at the designated time, but it is based on availability.
Walk ons are $25 each direction.
You can cancel up to 48 hours before your trip for a Refund. There is a $5 charge for cancellations that will be deducted from your return.
Cancellations within the last 48 hours will not be refunded.
Yes. If your dog is well socialized with other dogs and humans, and can also sit between your legs or on your lap, then we would love to welcome your furry friend on board.
The duration of each trip varies based on your starting and ending destination. Please visit our “schedule” page for full schedules and durations. You will also be able to see your departing and arrival times when making your booking.

No, unfortunately AquaLink only connects the 5 Gulf Islands. Please visit our “How To Get Here” page here for details on how to get to The Souther Gulf Islands via BC Ferries or Seaplane.
- In July and August 2023 we will have some select routes connecting to Sidney on Vancouver Island
Unfortunately there is not enough room on our small boats for kayaks.
We do allow people on bikes, but this must be arranged beforehand by emailing info@aqualink.ca and is based on availability.
With a capacity of 40 people getting on and off at different spots handling a large number of bikes can be challenging. Please email us to see if there is availability to bring a bike on your requested sailing and.
If a passenger chooses to pre-book and bring a bike aboard, it will remain on the back deck. During the voyage, the bikes may shift. Aqualink, GIWT and WET Coast Marine is not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during the water taxi ride. This includes emergency situations where safety will be prioritized, and items may be lost.
There are washrooms on board each boat operating between Salt Spring and Saturna.
There is no washroom on board the boat operating between Saturna and Pender. This route is less than 30 minutes.
We use a number of different boats depending on the route and the number of bookings.
The smallest boat carries up to 11 passengers and the largest boat carries up to 42 passengers.
The cost depends on which route you are travelling. Please select your booking to view the cost for each route.
Tickets are booked ONE WAY and most ONE WAY tickets are $20.
- Routes between Sturdies (Galiano) and Miners (Mayne) are $15
- Festival routes may have different pricing
AquaLink is a scheduled Water Taxi Service connecting the Southern Gulf Islands of Salt Spring, Galiano, Mayne, Saturna and Pender.
The Stops for our Schedule are as follows:
Salt Spring – Ganges Harbour
Galiano – Sturdies Bay
Mayne – Miners Bay
Pender – Port Browning
Saturna – Lyall Harbour
